These images of fireworks taken as President Trump celebrates his first fourth of July in office represent America’s current state as a flailing democracy and reflect the questions above that constantly stir in my head; exploding at times in fits of rage and at other times in heart-pounding sympathy for a nation receding from greatness by the hour.
